3rd Trimester Begins TODAY

 

  1. Reminder ALL Freshmen are required to have a Dental Screening: The Iowa Department of and return to the main office. The exam should be dated within the last year. The Iowa Department of Public Health also has a form Certificate of Dental Screening Exemption for Religious and Financial Hardship also available for fill out. Both forms are available in the main office. ALL forms must be turned in NO later than April 15th, 2017.

 

 

  1. Earn Black and Gold Hours: HEALTH FAIR – VINTON SKATE & ACTIVITY CENTER – Saturday,  April 1, 2017 – Many volunteers are needed from 7:00 AM – 2:00 PM to help with 25-30 stations including human foosball, kite flying for kids, EMS vehicles, and more!  Please contact Robin Martin by March 17th if you are able to help at 472-6375 or rmartin@vghinc.com

 

  1. FCA Leaders Wanted:
    Any 9-11th grade HS student who would like to help lead our local FCA group, please stop and pick up an application at the main office on the window sill.

 

  1. Girls Basketball end of the season banquet at Pizza Ranch today at 6:30.

 

 

Senior Information:

  1. Senior Photo’s Needed: Deadline for Senior Photo’s is April 15th, 2017 for the yearbook. A good quality photo for the yearbook can be submitted at any time prior to April 15th to Ms. Mulvaney. Also, please turn in a second photo for the senior bulletin board at any time to the main office.
  2. *****Tuesday, Feb. 28th  from 10AM- 12:00 NOON in the LMC Seniors will have the opportunity to work with Kim Schirm, who previously worked in college advising, on writing scholarship and college admission essays. Please take advantage of this FREE opportunity to work on your essays with an expert in the field. Please see Ms. Hamilton if you have any questions. 

 

  1. *** Seniors Jostens will be here Thursday, March 2nd during 4th period (Lunch Time) to deliver cap and gowns.

  1. Summer Job Opportunities: The Vinton Parks & Recreation Department has announced their summer job opportunities. Job listing posters have been posted throughout the school.  Applications are available in the Guidance Office. Deadline is Friday, February 24th for applications to the VPRD.
