  1. ***IMPORTANT***Reminder ALL Freshmen are required to have a Dental Screening: The Iowa Department form and return to the main office.  The exam should be dated within the last year 2017.  The Iowa Department of Public Health also has a form Certificate of Dental Screening Exemption for Religious and Financial Hardship also available for fill out.  Both forms are available in the main office.  ALL forms must be turned in by Friday, December 22nd.

 

  1. JUNIORS- Those of you that sold frozen food, it will be delivered on TODAY. PLEASE have plans arranged to get your boxes home, delivered, or in a freezer for that day! THANKS!!

  1. Black and Gold Opportunity: Park and Recreation Dept.:

 

 

  • Winter Carnival
    • Wednesday, December 27th
    • Vinton Skate & Activity Center
    • 8:30 AM – 11:30 AM
    • The annual Winter Carnival will feature a wide variety of games for youth 5th grade and younger to choose from. Volunteers will help with running one of these games and distributing prize tickets. Lunch will be served to volunteers following cleanup of the event.
    • The more volunteers we have for this event, the better!

 

  1. VERY IMPORTANT: All lunch money needs to be brought to the main office by 10:00 AM if you want it deposited on your lunch balance that day.

 

  1. PSAT meeting Wednesday, December 20th during RTI in the Auditorium.

  1. Black and Gold Hours Opportunity:

 

  • Any student who would like to earn Black & Gold Chord volunteer hours is welcome to help GOVS take down the holiday roping in Vinton on , Dec. 30th starting at 9 AM. We will meet at the southwest corner of the courthouse square at 8:55 and it will take approximately 1 1/2 to 2 hours to complete the project.  If you are interested in volunteering (and not in FFA or NHS) please sign up on the sheet in the guidance office.  Any questions, please see Ms. Hamilton.

  1. *****IMPORTANT***All Kirkwood books from the fall semester are due to the Guidance Office NO LATER THAN TODAY. You will be charged for any textbook not returned by this date.

Black & Gold Hours: The PTO is hosting a fun Christmas early out activity TODAY.   They could use volunteers willing to help with student crafts, set up, and clean up.  They can contact Angela at ptotilford@gmail.comwith questions.  Students should check in at the Tilford Elementary office when they arrive.  The activity is from 1:30-3:15. Volunteers should be done around 3:30.

  1. That the reality check kids are collecting winter hats and gloves this week for kids for Christmas. There is a box in the hub by Mrs. Fleming door to donate the items. We will collect them till TODAY.
