Dear Shellsburg Elementary Families,
My name is Ryan Davis and I am Principal at Shellsburg Elementary. Having graduated from Vinton-Shellsburg in 1994, it has been an honor to come back and serve this district, the communities, and its families since 2008. It is truly a special district to me.
At Shellsburg Elementary, our students are our priority, and we look forward to another exciting year of educating your child. We will give them a strong academic foundation that will serve them well throughout their educational career, while also having fun doing it. We pride ourselves in a community feel and a culture where students feel loved and are excited to come to school. We celebrate our students daily, whether it is their accomplishments in the classroom, in their activities, or the character they are displaying.
To carry on the culture and tradition of excellence at Shellsburg Elementary, it has been important to maintain strong relationships with our community. We have good partnerships with our Veterans, our local businesses, and our alumni. Having a strong relationship with our families is of equal importance. I will always welcome an email, phone call, or in-person meeting with anyone wishing to learn more about our school or offer feedback or suggestions. I can be reached at ryan.davis@govikes.org, or by phone at 319-436-5900. Your partnership in educating our youth is important to me.
Please feel free to visit our school. Shellsburg Elementary has an outstanding staff that is committed to giving our students a first-class education. We are here to serve our families and communities and would welcome the opportunity to show you what we do. We are looking forward to another great school year and hope to see you soon.
